1) Sleep well the night before and don't skip breakfast-
Your body is going to need the energy, and being well-rested and have food before the session will help you to handle the pain. If you are doing 4-7 hours session bring food/snacks sweets/drinks with you
2) Dress comfortably-
Choose loose and comfortable clothing that allows easy access to the area where the tattoo will be placed
3) Prepare your skin-
a. SCRUB/EXFOLIANT
1-5 days before
Scrubbing helps remove dead dry skin cells and exfoliates the surface (especially on legs).
b. MOISTURIZE
Use your favorite lotion/ oil/cream every day
1-2 weeks before your appointment to hydrate skin.
1) Don't drink alcohol and don't take aspirin 48 hours before you get inked -
They have blood-thinning properties, which can result in excessive bleeding, which may prolong the tattooing process.
2) Don't Get Burned & Tanned-
We cannot tattoo a tanned/sunburn or flaking peeling skin! Stay out of the sun before your appointment.
3)Please don't apply any numbing creams
4)Do not come to your session if you feel sick
A tattoo is essentially a wound in your skin, and proper aftercare can significantly influence how well it heals and how vibrant and crisp it remains over time.
1.Keep sterile bandage on for 1-2 hours until you get home.
2.Wash your hands, before carefully removing your bandage.
3.Gently wash your tattoo with antibacterial soap(unscented) and lukewarm water with your hands, not a washcloth.
4.Rinse with slightly cold water, do not rinse it directly under water stream.
5. Pat the area dry with a fresh clean towel.
6.Now that your tattoo is fully dry, apply a thin layer of aquaphor ointment.
7. Let the area air dry until it’s time to wash again.
Repeat these aftercare instructions 2-3 times a day for the next 5 days. Once it starts peeling, you will still continue steps 3-5 but instead of applying a thin layer of ointment, you can use unscented aveeno lotion with vitamin E oil to prevent scarring.

Caring for your tattoo is crucial for preserving its vibrancy and longevity. Regular moisturizing and sun protection help maintain the colors and sharp lines, preventing fading and skin damage. Gentle cleansing and hydration reduce the risk of irritation and infection, while a healthy lifestyle contributes to overall skin health, positively impacting how your tattoo looks. By taking good care of your ink, you can minimize the need for touch-ups, saving time and money in the long run.
